Bitch, Preeaseeeee.......!!!

It is getting pretty irritating today that the radio DJs has been repeating about Singapore's biggest haul in Olympic...???  One DJ even said that Singapore has got it's 2nd Olympic medal.  I guest they were not informed that Singapore had a Silver medal in Olympic weightlifting before, remember Tan Howe Liang?
Tan Howe Liang (SIN) - Olympic Silver Medalist

Once again, I think it's just the nation's propaganda of trying to justify their spending.  Plus, I wonder how it looks like when you imagine the faces of the officials from the minister's office telling the people in radio what to say on radio.  Just like the outlet managers who tell the DJs what to play when their friends come along. Brupppp!!!!

Bloody hell, today taxi driver kaopeh and say, "Brudder, you local ah?  You watch Olympic ah?  Kaninna China-lang win Olympic my heart boil ah!!"  - Seriously, I don't know what it means but I'm sure he wasn't excited about it.  The only thing I understood was after that, he said the only time Singaporeans feel excited about sports and the athletes were during the Malaysia Cup days.  I kinda agree with him.

With my experience of representing the nation in some of the sports meets, I have come to understand and accept that Sports in Singapore will never reach the heights it desires.  Never ever!!  I've seen it first hand, experience it and lived with it for awhile.  No disrespect for the athletes,  I know many are real sportsmen/women who sacrifice everything for the nation and the sport.  Unfortunately, they are the ones who will always become the victims.

Singapore sports bodies have very capable people  with passion in their organization, however, the head of these organizations are always those without proper sports knowledge, they are just bureaucrats, businessmen and corrupt officials who has their own agendas.  Ask any athlete in any sport in Singapore about their governing bodies and hear what they have to say.  "Any athlete" here refers to native Singaporeans, and, the Table tennis and badminton team is not included.

I remembered an incident when we went for an international tournament where the association's chairman came along, sat in First Class, stayed in a Suite, ate in private rooms and travelled in limousines.  Nothing wrong you say??  Don't you think those money can be use for the players?  At that time we asked for a team's masseuse, team's dietitian, team kit man, etc.  All our request have the same answer, "NO BUDGET".  Worst, we got sponsorship of $20k a year for apparels and yet we had to wear the same jersey and tracksuits for 4 different international tournaments.  After all that, the players went all out despite the setbacks.

Being in competitive sports half of my life, I've met with lots of great coaches.  All of them has the same message..... "Winning is not everything.  Win or Lose is all a part of it.  Just get out there do your best." - That is what I was taught all my life, and still live by it.  In fact, the ministers have said the same thing in their pep talk to the athletes before their departures to the international games.  So, here's the question :

1.  When they the officials say, "Winning is not everything.  The Olympic spirit is getting together in harmony as one nation." -  Why don't just send a native Singaporean?  Isn't buying talents means "die-die-must-win"?

2.  "Win or Lose is part of competing" - Why afraid to lose and spend the citizen's hard-earned money for those talents??

3.  If the idea is to bring the nation together, didn't they hear the nation bitching??

4.  Just to show that they did the 'right' thing, they had to justify by making repeated announcements of the foreigners achievements on TV, radio and all the state-owned medias??

5.  What they tell us during training is not the same as what the gahmen is doing.  So how??

And bitch preaseeeee....... don't ask the same stupid question again......."WHAT DO YOU THINK?"

and, when is the next Sex Olympics?

Just heard of a bad news moments ago.  A buddy of mine just caught his wife having an affair with her boss.  If that's not enough, she admit it and said that it has been going on for awhile, even before they were together.  I ask him what did he do after that?? He just said he walked away, feeling lost and confused, dejected and manipulated.   Felt very sorry for him.  As much as I wanna say that I understand what he's going thru, I will just be lying.  Nobody will know how he exactly feel.  I know I don't.

It got me thinking.  What if it was me??  Would I be able to handle it?

You see, both of our wives are kinda similar.  They are both corporate women who are appointment-holders, very beautiful and sexy.  Both are always being the target of the ang moh guys in their office and both are the main bread-winner in our respective family.  Yes, my wive earns more than me and I'm not ashamed of saying it.  In fact, I think everybody else's wives earn more than me....... hehehehehe...

Many of us who has worked in an office would somehow experience or have seen office-scandals happening.  Especially when you spend more time at work than at home with the family, that is most likely to happen.  I've seen it too many times.  Some are just doing it for fun and excitement, while there are those that went all the way and created disorder in the office environment.  Unfortunately, I haven't see any adultery happen in our office....... or maybe, I was not aware of any.  hmmmm....

My mind's kinda wondering all over the place right now........ Could it be happening to me also?  Would there be a reason that it could happen to me?  Damnit!!   Does it need a reason?? Anything can happen.  Shit happens when you least expect it to happen, in fact, SHIT HAPPENS WHEN YOU  DON'T THINK IT WILL HAPPEN!!

Ceramah Ustaz

So,  recently lots of women posted the above on their FB status.  With a firm nod of approval, they seemed like folding their hands and look at their husband with the look that says, "Eat that, bitch!!".  Then come the look that said, "I didn't say that, the Ustaz said it!"  If the religion says so, that means women are not sinned if they don't do any of the chores.

Frankly, I do agree that women are not suppose to do all the chores on their own.  It's something that is shared in the household.  The moment these responsibilities are turned to unspoken contracts, thats when expectations become intolerable.

Coming back to the quote above, as posted by many women, wives and wives-to-be, is this a statement to remind their partners that they the wives have been wrongly treated, a warning or ....... did they just shot themselves in the foot again??  OK, OK......... can see many blurr face now.  How the hell did they shot themselves in the foot by posting a quote from my beloved 'bapak-angkat'.  (Ok, I confess, I don't attend much of his classes nowadays........ ).  Let's look closely at the quote and read with our mind, not with your heart ;-)

1.  As we all know, this is not even 5% of the full session.  But, only this part was taken and repeatedly posted to affirm the message.

2.  The 'real' wives who has been doing these, and doesn't complain are not stupid nor afraid of their husband.  They are the ones who do it for the family coz they love their husband and family.  They did it out of love  in order to make the family an environment a better place to live.  And, the husbands did not set upon them that it is their responsibility to do it.

3.  Could it be that the women who posted this and repeatedly trying to send the message over are those that think that their living-status are greater than the husbands?  Could it be that they think they are exempt from all the chores because, just like the husbands, they also bring back the moolah?  Could it be that they are having lazy-ass husbands that earn less and treated them badly, or not as how their colleagues at work treat them?  Could it be that the women who posted this, has, a point in their life cheated on the husband, the family or themselves and that by posting this, it could divert some attention to the husbands?  It could be anything........

Next, lets take it sentence by sentence and look at what it meant.  The first sentence says that a wife should be treated like a queen, not a slave that has to do all the work.  I totally agree!!  Why would you want someone that you love dearly be a slave??  Its just simple common sense.  Hopefully, you're not one of those that got an inconsiderate wife who doesn't appreciate a husband that treats a wife like a queen, hence becoming demanding and everything is accountable by the actions.

2nd sentence - "Household chores are the responsibilities of the men." - True, however in the current concept of living, husbands go to work while housewives stays home and caretake the house.  For working couples, they get their maid to do that.  This agreement is called, "I-pay-you-clean".  Usually, in this situation, the wives will not do anything as it deemed that they have done their part by bringing in some of the family's income.

3rd sentence - "The Quran didn't say that these duties should be done by the wives." - The Quran also didn't say that working wives should put their bosses a priority than their husbands.  The Quran also didn't say that it is OK to show parts of their body to other men.

4th sentence - "The duties of a wive is to take care of the children and treat the husband with tender loving care." - Most wives would rather have the maid do it as it is already in the contract. "I-pay-you-serve".  In this context, 'treating' the husband means serving him his meals, talking to him in a manner that a wife should  and anticipate his likes or dislikes, and tolerate and accept his shortcomings.  Complaining about it now doesn't gonna improve anything.

5th sentence - "Because of the wive's tolerance and obedience, she willingly does the house chores with love and sincerity." - Does this mean that wives nowadays lack tolerance because of their civic-minded status and social paradigm?

6th sentence - "Heaven is for the wives who serve their husbands who are loyal to Allah and abide by the ways of Quran." - There's a difference between treating the husband sincerely with love and passion, against doing it for the 'social pressure'.

7th sentence - "It is not compulsory to be faithful to husbands that commit vices and doesn't worship Allah." - Does this give the right for the wives to starting fucking around??

So, there you go.  What is actually the reason of these women posting this part of the talk by the Ustaz and not the rest of it??  Isn't is the same when a Muslim guy says. "It is within the Muslim laws that a Muslim guy can have up till 4 wives."  - But they didn't talk about what are the criterias of doing so, the do's and dont's and the fairness of treating all 4 wives.  So, what's the reason again??

If a wive knows her duties and responsibility, she would know damn well that posting such a comment is unnecessary and in all fairness, it degrades herself and her family.  Isn't it better instead of posting that caption, she should have posted on her status about how much she loves her husband and her family and doa' for happiness and health? .......even if her husband is an asshole and a dick.  Who knows it might just soften him up.  Who knows, maybe her husband isn't a dick at all......... it's all just a figment of imagination of herself??  There was a song that goes, "Tuhan tolong lembutkan hati dia....... untuk terima ku seadanya.  Kerna ku tak sanggup, kerna ku tak mampu, hidup tanpa dia disisi ku....".  Unless otherwise.

Continuing today's rant on Dikir Barat,  today I saw a poster of the cultural performance that's gonna happen tonight or sometime this weekend.  I just realized that the new generation of activists of the art-form has somehow lost its roots or, are trying to be overly-creative, especially in naming their groups.  Technically, every group has their utmost right in naming their group with anything that they seem fit.  But, they also need to think about how the names could affect the group in the most uncertain ways.  It is in equivalent of a Malay couple from Bukit Batok naming their daughter Intan Gaga Primera.  They thought they were creative with the name and it would put their daughter in better places in the future.  Now, their daughter is 7 years old and has speech problems, stuttering.  I think you know what her friends call her now........ Intan Gagap.

Coming back to the art of Dikir Barat, as we all know it originated from Thailand and Kelantan, mainly from the fishermen.  Maybe you can read more HERE.  The group names from the native countries are short and simple to understand, and of course, it reflects where they come from, the language and their culture.

Some of the names of the local retro DK groups are -

Sri Teruna Jaya
Sri Kelana
Alang Ikan Duyung
Nafiri Utara
Hulubalang Abnu
Dendang Mutiara
and many more.....

And here are 2 names of DK group that confuses me, if they are DK group or Kuda Kepang ensemble.....

Endang Ratiana Estaurina ...... or something like that ;-)
and.....
Wira seRangga Akak Dia ........ or something like that.

(sorry I forgot what are the actual names, coz I saw the posters in Geylang last night)

In all fairness, there's no WRONG in naming your own group anything you want.  With that, maybe some day I'll start my own group........ with the name.......

Pecahkacapecahgelas Turunlorinaikbas Haripanascarikipas Dabacaharapbalas

can or not........??

okthxbye.

WANTED!!

Call it resurrection if you want...... but, the ghosts from previous generation are all coming back to haunt.  With that in mind, we are looking for that 'chick' to beautify our next album cover.  If you got what it takes and understand the consequences, please send your pics (fully-cloth, or not) to the following email :-

djrazaq@gmail.com

We will be contacting you if your photos are chosen, hence will seek prior approval and procure the necessary agreement terms before releasing it to the general public.

You game??! ;-)

Since we are in the subject of retro-dikir barat, here's another one that was missed.........

PARTNERSHIP

According to the dictionary, it means, the state or condition of being a partner; or a joint interest; or, a participation of interest bonded by law or condition.

So, recently, I saw a few partnership fell apart due to overzealous member of the partnership or a member with greed or ill-intentions towards their interest.  Before the partnership began, they were all good friends, buddies and even refers to each other as 'brothers'.  When all turn sour, those affections fade away and friends became enemies.

Not much difference with life partners.   Both have the same interest that goes beyond love, family, social and other matter paradigm of the human context.  Similarly, these partnership may sour due to actions that contradicts the condition of the partnership.

So, what happens if the partnership sours not because of any unlawful acts, 3rd-party intrusion or unfulfilled obligations??  What happens if the partnership failed due to a disillusioned member whose a figment of his/her imagination took over control??   Sometimes, members of the partnership think they have done too much that they deserved a break from being part of the partnership.  They may include the word 'deserve' in every sentence, claiming immunity.   For the record, nobody has the right to use the word 'deserve' that describes themselves.  It is a merit that is given, only when all parties involved agrees to it.

Sometimes, in a partnership, it is more than often that partners communicate to each other in a manner of medieval society.  Filled with disagreement, hatred and dissatisfaction.  However, the truth is that they can't be without each other.  Often being asked why does it progress into such an uncomfortable situation, while back then, the partners has proved that they can communicate in a very civilized manner.  The fact that they can be much nicer to friends, acquaintances and clients, but not to their partner, is really puzzling and unacceptable.  Why can't partners be nice to each other??  Why do they raise voices, shout, or even get upset over small things, like ordering a meal, or something??  WHY??
It is always good to reflect why members began partners in the first place.  In fact, if the members can be nice to their friends, clients or strangers, why can't these members of the partnership be nice to each other??  They need each other to to progress and trying to outdo one another is not gonna help in the partnership.  They shouldn't forget that they are partners in a ship ............ together-gather.

Was talking to Steven Tyler recently about stuffs. Somehow the marriage topic came from nowhere and we were discussing about some things related to it. At one stage, I was asking him what actually happen between him and Barrick. After 17 years together they went separate ways. The following are account details of his side of the story........

Steve - people like us in this industry are always mistaken for our way of life. When we met long time ago, we were both crazy and wild, and partying was a part of our life. When we decided to get married, we promised to support each other and that we understood each other's commitment to the industry. She told me she will support my work and fully understood my role when I'm working. However, throughout the years, I changed and put family life as priority, hence the cutting down on partying and other stuffs. Even at that, I am always questioned everytime she saw photos of me or the band partying after our gigs. Worse, any female who appears in our photos will be ridiculed to have an affair with myself or the band members, despite their healthy family life.

To cut story short, it went on for many years but I kept mummed about it and let it pass. Until recently, I had a gathering of industry's greats and went with my band. She insisted I was with some other women. She claims that I missed partying so much that left the family (herself) to go back to my old ways.

The entertainment industry is always projected or seen to be partying at all times. Therefore, when we are working, the general public think we are partying. I'm not denying that there were booze, and laughter and an amount of fun, but do they really know how we partied??

From then on, it was downhill.........

Steve refuse to talk about it and the disappointment in his face showed. Not because of his separation but how words were turned against him. He loved Barrick so much that he didn't want to really tell his part of the story and just moved on. Drugs and alcohol came back, and so does the music....... but not his love of his life.

Moral of the story is ......... Rockers are human too and have feelings. Women will say whatever they want to make sure they are never at fault.

btw, the article above is just a figment of my imagination.

THIS BLOG IS NOT A SOURCE TO DIG UP OLD STORIES AND MAKE IT A REASON TO FIND FAULTS AND CAUSE TENSION. THERE ARE OTHER WAYS AND MEANS TO IT. TRY FACEBOOK.

by the way, some of the stories here are made-up just for humour purposes. some words are written for personal gains and satisfaction, while orders are meant for things only the author knows. taking this blog seriously can cause sleepless night.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Recently, the Singapore talk show started its new season with a topic about Singapore Soccer. The panel was talking about what need to be done for Singapore soccer and the S-league, even after 17 years, the local soccer league hasn't really get to where there wanted it to be. They were also talking lots about marketing, money sponsors, support, bla, bla, bla.......

On a different note, the prodigal son of Singapore soccer, Fandi, is somewhere doing the same thing he set out to do many years ago. To play and help Singapore soccer. Without the help of his country's authorized bodies, Fandi had opened doors, hearts and unite people, establishments, organization and many more. Yet, he doesn't get the support from his own countrymen.

The FAS always talked about support, money, marketing and the business aspects of making soccer work for Singapore, but they never talk about how FANDI can work in their structure. Maybe they should see Fandi as a solution, rather than a problem. After all, he is a sportsman, and not a businessman. I'm sure those who knows his story and ventures will agree with me.

If only there were private companies who are more than willing to splurge and invest in organizing an event to pay tribute and commemorate FANDI, that is really gonna blow-off some people 'at the there'....... make the event BIG, for everyone, a festival to support native Singaporean sportsman. Get the country together like how they use to be, make them reminisce the good ol' days and celebrate life. When people get together, business opportunities come rolling, brands wants to get involve in showcasing their product. SPEND MONEY TO MAKE MONEY......... and that's a PLAN.

Easier talk than done..........?? If they can make Tan Pei Ling minister, why can't they say THANK YOU to FANDI??

likes outdoor sports and long walks??

It's kinda funny when you read people's profile where they are suppose to 'say something about themselves' or 'Interests'..... many penned down things like .....

taking long walk on the beach, likes travelling, passionate, loves animals, humble and down to earth, enjoy outdoor sports.... bla, bla, bla......

The truth is ........ what the fark is wrong with these people?? Taking long walk on the beach?? Really? I do believe at times we enjoy the long walk... but, if you're one of those regular people who always does that, there's is something wrong with you. Stay away my friends!!

Who doesn't like travelling? We all do. But first, which part of travelling are we talking about?? The long holidays kind of travelling or the daily routine of travelling from home to work, getting squeezed in the trains, and if you're lucky....... the breakdowns and a free tour of the underground tunnels?? Which one again?? And of course, don't be an idiot, who doesn't like holidays??

Sometimes, I do get quite worried at individuals who claims to be humble and down-to-earth. 99% of the time, they aren't. First of all, you don't tell people that you're humble. It's something that people say about you, something that is awarded for being a likeable person. Telling people that you're humble and down to earth, is like "I see the most beautiful person..... whenever I look in the mirror".

I'm not gonna comment about liking 'outdoor sports'. Some bloody smart Alec wanna argue saying that shopping is also a sport. Whatever la.
