Here's an update of the friday night.......(or maybe 'Fright nite')

It was something we would not call a successful night. But then again, it was cosy, homely and FUN! People say that HOUSE music is all bout 'love', happy and fun.... that was what we got last night....

Talking about 'love music'..... Yukun came with the 'love' one, who thinks I look gay, .... P@T has his 'love' sitting right in front of the console (like watching TV).... P@T showed his 'love' by showing off his nipples (and belly button)!! a couple at the bar was trying very hard to 'exchange' love on the stool, 2 women trying to find love, and trying to get P@T to play the song from Fast & Furious 3 - Teriyaki Boys!! hahah!! wtf!... a couple of guys were 'making love' by the sub speakers (they were straight and had clothes ON! 'safe sex')...... as for me.... I just love being there with the rest of the lovely people.....

Btw, Carbonara (insider's joke) asked me why I'm trying to play Trance when there's nobody... damnit! who the FARK care!! there's only 6 people in the club at 2.30am and they are all friends!! so what if I want to impress the Trance guys...?? so what if I want to please my friends!! so what!!?? Its my f*cking console, I play watever I want! tonight I'm gonna play Backstreet Boys - Quit Playing Games... who wanna stop?? and, last night's Leo Sayer track made P@T jump on his feet!!

maybe can run off to Batam for a day...? or, Rasa Sentosa? sit on the balcony and watch the world go by......? listening to Astrud Gilberto, with a glass of merlot. If hungry, there's room service or even can walk down to Coastes. If it rains, just lie on the bed with a book....(hasn't finish reading Mario Puzo's The Last Don). .... Just for a day.......... to experience silence, peace and stress-free.

Or, just lock myself up in the room, switch off phones, tv, pc and lights.

Or, go shopping and drink myself silly? ........ NOT!

Personal rant. Many now know that I'm embarking on a new job. It's been a long while since I did something stable and concrete. Some true friends have been really encouraging... wishes me well and such. Then there are some that because of whatever reasons, are bitching to me about the company that I'm going to join. For the record, I'm least interested in politics so spare me your "hearsays". I've given it a lot of thought and I think it's a good company with a pretty good synergy going. Yes, hours will be long, work will be hard. Money don't grow on trees. You reap what you sow. No working environment is perfect. But we learn to deal with it. So for f**k sake, spare me all the "industry rumours" and personal-points-of-views. Real friends will urge me on and not tell me things like "you won't be happy" and "you can't really play what you're known for" and "big company, hard to work". Do you really know me and what makes me happy? No, right? So do everyone a huge favour and stop assuming and presuming. I choose my own destiny. And I choose to walk this new path. So there! I wish everyone well too... have a great weekend!

FOr God's sake, and for the love of music and the scene...... let him go his way....and choose his own path. As far as I know, when he was down, not many came out to lend a helping hand (not that he really need it)..... I'm sure when success come his way, the same m*thaf*rkers (who dissed him) will be around to share his reeps.

Its amazing how irritating some fellow locals can be when they are in public. today was one of those 'special' days that I have to encounter such incident.

I was doing my weekly shopping at Cold Storage -Great World City. Being sunday, the place was packed and all the checkout counters had long queues. It was also quite unusual coz the place was swarmed with kids and auntys and grandparents..... (Great World City is usually has its normal clientele of singles and couples from nearby apartments). To be frank, it looks like Hougang Mall or Chinatown Point!

Anyway, back to my rant......

Seeing so many people and the long queues, I decide to get only some important stuff so as I don't have to get stuck in the long queue and hobble along with all the groceries. with my 5 items that i had picked, I joined the 'Express' counter where it says..... '6 ITEMS OR LESS'. in front of me, I had a guy with a trolley. In it, there were at least 10 items, and a little girl sitting in it. hmm..?? I thought it was '6 ITEMS OR LESS'.... nevermind maybe I was wrong.

When they got to the cashier, he took out all the items for payment, and true, there were 14 items!

the cashier said, "Sir, this lane is express, 6 items of less."
man : I know but my daughter had put all these things.... anyway, I'm already here, just go la...

seconds later... wife came and put more things.

cashier : Sir, this is Express lane....
man: just shut up and go la... if talk less it will be faster. technically, its still ok. 6 Items or less. altogether 20 items, there's 3 of us..... that means we can take 18 items, just exceed by 2.....
cashier:???

Goodness!! how ignorant some people can be??!! so where's the Courteousy in it that have been planted by the Government since in the early 80s? Technically he's right?? damn it!! the whole situation is wrong!! This country is fast becoming a city of 'cheats'!! We've got cheated by donating to the NKF, we got cheated for donating to TAA (Hari Raya Charity Fund).... now I got cheated for queueing in an express' lane, and the cashier got 'cheated' for not being 'technically' mindful of the regulations....???! damn!

speaking of being cheated, last night I got cheated out of my mee hoon goreng. ordered MEE HOON takeaway, shen i opened the package, it was NASI GORENG... no egg some more! next time becareful when you eat at the mama shop at Md Sultan Rd. always wrong order!!

The moral of the story is ......... it is OK if you're born an IDIOT, or 'BLUR'... but its more sinful to 'act blur', act like in idiot, act stupid when you're not. GOD says, "IDIOTS ARE FORGIVEN; ACT LIKE ONE, BURN IN HELL!"

Love Generation?!

Some of the most successful people are copycats........ I'm one now! a successful copycat. hah!!

Why does hip hop is always associated with violence? Fine, hip hop originates from the ghetto culture and it speaks of their live and struggle and those shits.... But, what does it got to do with Singapore or other Asian countries? This is not our culture nor what we live for. We've got no ghetto shit! Buto we got lots! Its just a fad and phase that the younger generation goes thru every time MTV changes its directions. Let me remind you once again that MTV is actually run by the devils!! That's why they never play house music.

In Singapore, I wonder who else will be the next casualty due to the rift-raft of the hip hop scene. If we were to look at the clubbing history in Singapore, all the clubs that embrace hip hop as its main direction had to close due to violence or misconduct of its patrons. Nevertheless, all these clubs did made some profit out of all these misfortunes.

Who should be blame for all these? Is it the club, who tries to accommodate to the patrons choice of entertainment? Is it the sale of alcohol? Is it the patrons, who get bored and start fights as their form of entertainment? Is it the club who are too eager to accommodate the 'un-civilized' and let itself be infested with rogues? Is it .......... - there'll be too much too ask, with too little time to stop for a cigi.

I'm not saying clubs that project electronic dance music doesn't have a problem. Every genre of music has its own problems, but hip hop clubs has a long and negative history. not sure anybody remember these clubs that had to close due these related problems.....

With all the things that has happened before, no one seem to bother looking at the history and its consequences. In fact, everyone is confident that all is taken care of.....

Early today, while I was having breakfast at The House of Prata, I had the chance of eves-dropping on 2 60-yr old women chatting about their life in Singapore. One was an Indian, the other Chinese, and both look at least 60-70 yrs of age........

Apparently, they were friends since their virgin days and today was their monthly' 'catch-up' session. They were recalling events that brought laughter and tears, and things that have affected their lives......

What caught my attention most was not what they were talking about, in fact, it was how they were talking and the language. You see, I find it intriguing that an Indian and a Chinese woman communicate in Malay. In fact, it was fluent and sounded like 'old-school' malay back in the 50s.

I thought it shows everything about this country. Don't mind me being a lil' patriotic today. With all the TV adverts about Total Defence, and what I say and heard today.... I think we're not that bad after all. Just look at Lone Ranger and Tonto......

I hope someone read this post........ maybe I should get the PBM at National Day Awards!!

Had a productive meeting and chat with the group's big-wig today. Talking about the possibilities of having a partner to take things to a 'different level'..... everybody seems to be eMthusiastic about what the future can be. However, only time can tell what's in for all of us. If all come to terms, there might be a case of 'multiple-orgasm' from the mosquitos in the pond below. Our days are numbered, we can't let people suffer from aural pollution in this town infested with #(&%$........

We just launched our 13th outlet - ICE COLD B's @ SMU. yup, a beer bar in SMU. nothing to be proud of but people seem to think that its a cool idea. considering Singapore wants to be an education hub, having a pub in a school is JUST we need right now!! ; )

We really need to teach the younger generation that if you get stressed out over studies, relationship, family problems, peer pressure.... all u need to do is DRINK! btw, show your student's card and you'll get 30% OFF!!!

What happen to 'moral obligation' to the younger generation? don't blame us. the governing people started this..... they want excitement, 'groung-breaking', bla, bla, bla..... and also.... the casinos are coming.. that'll help.

While the lecturers teach business in the theatre, we teach something else. Like which beer will not kill you, which beer will turn the girls on, or even, which kind of beer will make you a better MAN. It goes the same with the opposite sex.

But there's something that I find interesting during my time there. We all know that the SMU girls are HOT! coming to school in micro skirts and shorts that would kill grandma. they claim that its freaking cold in the lecture rooms and classes. that's why they carry sweats and cardigans. but what do they do with the lower part of the body? Frankly, it'll be hard for me if I was the lecturer... I mean HARD.

They guys are predictable. Always in soccer jerseys and bermudas and a cap. nothing interesting. Typical local boy.

And what about US trying to please these young boys into becoming regulars at the outlet. They get bloody swell headed that they think they can change things......
