I was wondering if anyone has seen the trailer for the new game show THE SHOWDOWN. Yea, the local celebrity 'telematch' thingy. It has been infesting the tv slots for the past 2 weeks, premiering this Thursday. Actually, there's nothing special I wanna talk about, except for the trailer where they had the celebrities from Vasantham Central (Indian Channel). Remember that one?? Did anyone watch that?

I'm just puzzled at some things when they introduce their team. First, they individually introduce their name, then they went on to say, "we are Team Vasantham central..........Yo Yo Respect......!!" - then, they went on to do some hip hop hand signals to the chest or something.........

Huh??!! "RESPECT"?? Respect who, what, when, where??!!

Aren't they suppose to come from Mediacorp's Indian channel, Vasantham Central? How come the gestures are like hip hop people. RESPECT??!! wtf?? I thought the Indian community has its own culture? Where does the word RESPECT fit in their culture?? Is this like trying to be what their not?? Do they know that their not black, but brown. And Indian culture doesn't even come close to the Afro-American people. RESPECT??!!

It's not even an episode from Ali G. Once again, are they mimicking Ali G?? RESPECT!!
