Just last week I posted about the ERP story which was supposedly to curb the rising number of cars on the road and encourage public transport. Today, they announced the new price hike of the taxi charges...... wtf??!! Commuters have to pay $3 extra in take a cab in the CBD? taxi fares increase by 14% for every 7km trip from $7.50 to $11.90....?? Which part of this is called ENCOURAGEMENT? You mean encourage people to take the buses and MRT.... which coincidentally belongs to.....?? It was also to encourage taxi drivers to come out more often.....duh!! In the first place, people become taxi drivers because they are lazy to be in the working force. People become taxi drivers because they want to have a choice of when or when not to drive......... of course not all taxi drivers are like that. Will these fare hikes really encourage taxi drivers to come out more often? How about the commuters? Will they be encourage to commute via taxi despite these hikes?

I, for one, have my own transport, even when I travel by taxi, its being paid for by the company. Nevertheless, the question still remains.........WTF IS HAPPENING HERE IN SINGAPORE??!!!!

(the above picture was taken only last year in July)

I should have taken the offer to move to Greece last year....... live in the hotel's resort and be a house-husband...... damn it!!
