oh well..... its here again......!
everybody seems to be gearing up for the day where 'freaks' roam the city, angels taking a back seat and the devil calling the shots!! it's just another day at the office for me.... but at least I know its going to be a damn bloody bad day.....! something I learned all these years is that, people think they have the right to do anything or behave like anything, when they're are drunk. can't blame them, they wouldn't even know when they're drunk. Apart from being a nuisance, creating problems or even acting like a kid, some really get into 'shit'... if u know what I mean....
these few days made me think why I stopped getting drunk...... I get lots of hostility whenever I run from a drink. If they ever now what I become when I'm intoxicated, they'll thank me for life!!
anyway, as time goes, I realised that I'm one of those people who can't stand drunkards. Yes. you drunkards get on my nerve even though you're the cutest thing when you're sober. don't ask why... I just hate it.... don't ask!! I'm entitled to my bloody opinion.
Next.
2007 seems to look a lil' exciting for me..... work matters. I don't know actually what's gonna happen, but it looks and sounds exciting. Surprises are expected to come from me....
New Year Resolution - nah! haven't did the last one from 2003.... but I share the same wish with DJ Yukun for the New Year.......
WE HOPE ALL THE BACK-STABBERS, '2-HEADED-SNAKES-WITH-A-SMALL-DICK AND LOOSE C*NTS' - DIE IN 2207!!!!
... don't bother holding up your glasses... just hold your head up high, even if its a bad year.... the only way to go is UP!
cheers and Happy new year,
ROCKSTAR SOUPaNOVA

pondering over the last post......
lets give this a little thought.....
TuPac Shakur got shot in Las Vegas strip.... one of the busiest street in the world... till now the US government couldn't get the killer.....
Saddam hiding in a hole in another part of the world.... found by the US government withing hours after they were 'attacked' by 'terrorist'.....
what's that all about...???

finally the hell week is over!! well, actually 2 more weeks. but, at least all the chaotic moments from the events are done!! no more smart-ass people trying to act cool or smart, telling me what how I should play my music..... and dodgy models/dancers who think they are gods-gift to the club!!
just to up-date those who didnt get to be at the parties.......
1. Hennessy party - CRAP!! but music was awesome.... unfortunately most people couldn't get wat club music and Hennessy Artistry have in common - QUALITY!!!
2. TuBorg beer launch - Hilarious!! Freaky Z in green-bottle-costume and raps!! the night when well - good formula, free beers & cheesy music.
3. Johnny Walker F1 party - awesome!! music was awesome (who the DJ?) the car is beautiful even though I'm not a fan of McLaren Team. and yes, the car will be there till new year!! the drinks was good.....!! still prefere the Green & Blue label.... Models were dodgy, dancers can't dance!! its beginning to sound very normal for us.....
As for me.... the Johnny Walker party really took me out of the whole week's energy. got thrashed and couldn't really remember what happen after we launch the car. oh, but I remembered Mel came with the new Mrs, they all had Bah Kut Teh, rode the bike home and slept on the floor.....
Well, its over.....
here's what coming for the festive season....
got a new model/dancer for the whole 2 weeks till NYE.... i think she's gonna do better than the current group of girls.... this dancer/model is commanding on stage but empty 'up there'..... y'know wat I mean........
I'm sure you guys gonna agree with me..... anyway, its sure gonna be fun gliding thru the new year......
And..... here's my guest DJ for the NYE party..... I'm gonna be more realistic than the other clubs..... import big-name DJs and market it like God is gonna be spinning...Fark!! here's my guest.... also a big-name, but he deserves the spot on NYE.... I'm sure the spot-light, sattelite will be on him.
he's been wronged too many times...... and nobody wants to give him another chance...
I believe him and i'm the only one will give that chance..... just like all the local talents that have been pushed aside.....
this is our time....

.... I was at Cold Storage last night buying groceries for home. Stopped by the 'cooked-food' counter and looked for the roasted chicken. Fortunately, there was 1 piece left but its the black-pepper chicken. As I was looking at it, the counter lady came and tried giving me her best 'service'.... which turn-out to be rather frustrating or funny.... whichever way u look at it.....
this is how the conversation goes.......
lady: hi sir, would you like some roasted chickens? (there was only 1 pc left)
me: (blur) err, yes please. do you have others, except this one?
lady: yes sir, we have honey-glazed, black-pepper, regular-roast and maryland-sauce.
me: ok. can I have the honey-glazed, whole chicken?
lady: sorry sir, we only left with this one.
me: i thought you have others....??
lady: sorry sir. we left with this one....
(I'm kinda confused by now)
me: ok then... I'll have this one... (the last piece)
lady: sure sir. how many pieces do u want?
me: huh? you have some more? isn't this the last one?
lady: yes sir. this is the last one.
(I am really really confused!!)
me: aunty.... whatever you have, I'll take.
lady: ok sir. would you like to come tmw, because tmw we have more chickens... and tmw we have honey-glaze, black-pepper..... (she went on to repeat the whole menu again...)
me: ???!!!!! (die!!! brain twisted by the aunty at cold storage)
thinking about it again, I can actually laugh my heart out..... I wonder if the counter aunty understands what she was talking... but again, I gave her 'fool-marks' for trying to give her best service...... or maybe, she was trying to make a fool out of me..... maybe, it was an alien disguised as an ..... damn!!
i'm expecting it to be a bad week.... I think its getting worse every minute.....
this is still my favourite aunty!!

its been a few days since I 'bitch' on something... well, it has been a hectic week and its gonna get worse for the next 4 weeks. I'm in a foul mood, yet I'm very optimistic about the new year.
we just had the Hennessy Artistry party last night at dbl 0. nothing much to brag.... wish I could have it my way, or at least listen to my ideas. the same party they had in US had Kanye West at main act, we had Chinese opera, chinese orchestra, tango dancers, rappers and more crappy dancers. Oh well, its over. Next week...... launch party of Tuborg.......SIGH!!!!!!!
More parties coming up this week and I'm rushing for the new club (former Liquid Room) hasn't had any sleep, my phone is dead... all three phones 'kaput'!! Nokia, Motorola, Sony Eriksson..... all crap!!! iPod keep giving problems....... staff being calculative, DJs being forgetful, my main man is away for the whole week.... damn!! its not a good week....
If there's any consolation, Mel came to visit us last night with a new 'friend'. Somehow I find it weird when he ask me to down the bottle of Guiness coz we haven't seen each other for more than a month....!!???.... WOW!! thats so Canto club!! dats so.... oh.... I forgot ..... he's fav place is now DragonFly!! .....and Mel, if you're reading, that Buddhist monk who said we're gonna be world-famous and succesful..... can you ask him for a date..?? I'm running out of time.... need to be a millionaire before 35.
Anyway, its good to see him... and the rest of the guys... and to those who actually partied and like the music during my set.... thank you for staying... and..... the Hennessy actually helps......
Tonight's Zoukout...... so wat?? was there last year with Mr & Mrs Benjamin and Sophie..... nothing great..... I remembered Benjamin laughed so hard when Nick Warren missed his beats... hahahahah..... Nick Warren 'chiao beat'!! I would really like to watch Keri Chandler perform tonight.... but.... nah!! prefer waiting for George Benson in january....
this post is so BORING......!!

I was reading Yukun's blog last night (yukun.blogspot.com) about the "Lousy Night" report.... and realise how pathetic people can be with regards to supporting the local talents, and the whole local club scene......
..... to be frank, I was one of those people who get excited when Roger Sanchez, DJ Gregory, Bob Sinclair, martin Solveig and Lil' Louie Vega comes to town. I'm a big fan of their music and that's what I dig. Unfortunately, there have been a few times when I realise that they are just another DJ who got bloody famous..... I watched Martin Solveig at Zoukout last year and thought that he was the ultimate crap!!! he played a 10-minute version of 'Rocking Music' and mix it with Blur's 'Song 2'...??!! and the crowd screamed their balls out coz the SONG IS FAMILIAR and it played in class 95!! goodness.....!!! when we were playing these stuff, some of the local 'big boys' called us cheesy shit, commercial crap.... yet, they let this happen at Zoukout, in the Velvet tent..???
This is what I think.... put a foreign DJ and local DJ, playing an exact same playlist.... chances are the local DJ is crap but the foreign DJ scores.
You know wat..... some day, I'm gonna do a 1-hr non-stop cd and put an ang moh girl behind the console...... I bet she gonna be famous next day....!!
did anybody know that Paul Van Dyk played a non-stop cd when he was in S'pore...?? and the non-stop cd was done DJ Benjamin???!!! Suckers!!!
when I played during Tektile's house nights, people think my music is crap, un-danceable...... some were even asking to change to RnB..???!!! WTF??!! that same group of people actually went up to MoS BKK in 2003 and watched me played warm-up set for Pete Heller..... back then, they said...."dude, the music is awesome!!"..... hypocrisy doesn't work with me, man....!!
listen, Guys!! we need to support our local jocks.... hell with me, aight!! don't support me.... my music sucks..... at least support the rest of them. we've got awesome talents in Yukun, Benjamin, P@t, Sebastian, Vibrators... erm, sorry, Vibesetters..... and lots more. Better still, support Frontal if u want... but it has to start now!!!
coming soon.......eM Studio @ Gallert Hotel (Home of the local EDM)......
Africa Unite...(Robert Marley)
in the meantime, while u are still thinking whether to support or not... here's something to ponder.....

OH NO!!!! NOT AGAIN.......!!
By Leigh Pasqual, For The Straits Times
Nov 27, 2006
The Straits Times
SINGAPORE is in the middle of a review and public consultation exercise conducted by the government on its proposed amendments to the Penal Code. A significant number of amendments are being proposed to the sections related to 'Sexual Offences'.
Many of the proposed amendments are progressive and in keeping with the Government's attempts to bring the Penal Code up to date. But there is one big sticking point - 'marital immunity'.
As the law now stands, a husband cannot be prosecuted for raping his wife: marital immunity exists for a man who engages in non-consensual sexual intercourse with his wife who is 13 years of age or above.
In 1996, the issue of criminalising non-consensual sex between spouses was raised as part of a public consultation exercise to amend the Women's Charter. The idea was rejected.
... what if.... your wife says..... "darling, don't bite....." or "..... harder!!!" but you do the opposite.... is it RAPE? 'coz its non-consesual sex.
or maybe, if THEY really wanna help the women, married couples and such.... they should put a law on "fore-play". Its illegal to have sex without 'foreplay'.... unless...... (lawmakers can spend time looking for reasons, just to make it more exciting and worthy of talking about it during Parliament.)
and.... what if the husband is the victim?.... what are our rights.....??!
somewhere, someday, somehow, a husband came back moody from a long day in the office. As he walked in, the wifey pulled him to the bed, tie him up to the headboard and start whipping endlessly..... (he's not the victim yet). later on they made rough, sadomastic love. Wifey riding like she's on a bull-with-a-single-horn.... biting all over as the husband lay helpless tied to the bed. Love sweat dripping down their body, while both gasping for air....
Just as the husband was about to....... wifey back-off and went to the loo...
(NOW THAT'S BEING A VICTIM!!!), especially when still being tied to the bed.
husband: "....err.... excuse me officer, I wanna report a rape." :(
police officer: "congratulations!! at least you gettin' some....."

my favourite Bond.....
I think i'm gonna stop watching the movie in the cinemas, maybe just wait coz its definitely gonna be on TV and DVDs, VCDs or whatever they can come up with. everytime an new bond movie comes out, they'll show it on tv over and over again.... anyway, you can actually know what's in the movie. No prizes for guessing how the movie goes.....
here's my take on the Bond movies....
1. he's suppose to be a secret agent, but there are thousands of websites dedicated to him. we all know his name, what he does, how he talks, and, how he likes his Martini..... shhhhh.... its secret!
2. a bullet from James Bond's gun could kill a whole regiment of the North Korean army. A battalion of North Korean army with machine guns can't even get Mr Bond.
3. the bad guy always confess when Bond is tied up or helpless, after-which, JB would somehow get loose and find a way to spoil the villain's plan. Usually, the villain would confess when THEY are the ones being tied-up or cuffed or detained..... right?
4. the 'secret' tools featured in the early part of the movie always find its way, whether its in emergency or an aid to get the girls...
5. Corny one-word pick-up lines always did the tricks to get the girls.... try not use them in real-life situations. It reflects the amount of vocab in ur brain.
6. JB seems to not have any expressions during emergency situations, and his hair always stays the same during these times..... but everything else changes when he's in the arms of a woman..... multiple face expressions, hair-disorders.....
I'm sure that there's more if you look up at other websites about MR 007. I'm just gonna stop here coz its gonna annoy many of my friends...(who adores James Bond or anything that sound and look like one). I sure its a good movie. I hope Daniel Craig will fare better than Timothy Dalton... in the meantime, I'm gonna settle for some penguins who sings MY WAY in Espanol.. and THAT'S A GOOD MOVIE!!

I thought I'd write something about what I saw in India.... which made me think about our lil' Singapore....
Last week was my 1st time in India, New Delhi. didn't know what to expect or how far behind/forward are they... well actually, most of the things that I saw around me or on the streets resembles Singapore/Kuala Lumpur as its in the 50s/60s. Yes.... things look as if they never change.... except for some parts which I think is quite alright.... what I mean some parts are in some clubs or joints that I went to...
I was at this place called Olive in New Delhi. chillout joint, place infested with rich kids spending their parents money and hangin' around looking cool. all the girls look like Karisma Kapoor, while some of the boys (only some) look really cool. drinks are bloody expensive but, they seem happy to keep walking to the bar and back with a beer or something. What amazes me is what I saw on stage. Yep.... there was a DJ with turntables and CD players, armed with a laptop. he was flanked by a tabla player, 2 vocalist (male & female). I swear I thought they were playing from a cd from one of Jose Padilla's album. As I came nearer, they were all playing 'live'!!!
damn!! the DJ was droping beats from laptop, scratch from turntables, dropping samples from cd, the tabla guy was doing his thing and the vocalist... goodness me!! the girl was just doing the hymms while the guy singing verses.. it sounds bloody awesome.... !!! try imagine those tracks from Talvin Singh, or some of the tracks from DJ-Kicks Thievery Corporation... you'll know what i'm talking about.
Well, maybe I wasn't blown away.... but I'm impressed with the sound quality, the mix, and how the performers blend with each other's 'flow'. and guess wat...? its not something 'new' or 'ground-breaking'.... its been like that for the past 5 years in paris, Italy and Spain. there's a place in New York called Belly House doing this kinda shit for the past 3 years. In Singapore, I believe it has started 3 years ago..... its more jazzy, but I'm sure it's nothing new.... if you wanna know more... checkout Dean & Kaye, Jazzadelics and of course The Tektile Movement. Btw, remember when Maniam the percussionist use to play at Zouk...?... hah!! some people thinks its 'new' and 'ground-breaking'....
That's like the music side of Delhi.......
Next. checkout this car.....
this happens to be the pride & joy of the Indian roads....... its called the Ambassador by hindustan Motors. Its only being used by the government officials and taxis. As amusing as it look, and as old as it look,..... this is what the Indians are proud of as this IS their car....... its not about how it look like, how fast it goes or what the car can do (even though I think this car has the loudest horn you've ever heard).... the fact that this car belongs to the Indian public, something that they can call their own. The only time that I saw a Mercedes was at the hotel where were we staying.... it was for the visiting Afghanistan president's limo, it was an 8-door Mercedes limo. (yes, yes... we stayed at the same hotel with the Afghan prez)....
To the Indian people.... I salute you guys for being proud of your own product!!
Unfortunately, I can't say the same here..... this is why.....
We've got talents all over the island, yet most of them are still floating around desperate for a chance or opportunity... only A chance! here's what I thought... somehow, somewhere,.... somebody always knows a someone who is talented with something but is not getting a chance, opportunity or somewhat. they ended up being a nobody, unemployed and unwanted. In fact, some who actually did get the chance, blew it away, took it for granted and abuse it.... I wonder who's to blame....
however, I still think that there are a few more who are being left out due to language barrier, dialect group, or even, being stereotyped. We've got musicians, artist, DJs and other talents whom are being left out, simply because they are not Caucasian enough...?? damn that's old skool!!
I remembered once that DJ Rattle (ranked Top 10 in the world) couldn't land an advertisement job for Motorola b'coz he didn't look 'commercial' enough. Ya he's fat, but he's CUTE!!... Marc Anthony, the local sax player (he plays better than Kenny G!!), couldn't get the better gigs b'coz he looks like a Beng from Joo Chiat Place...?? (if you don't believe that he's good, come watch him this friday at Pool Room Bar.... I'll buy you a drink if you think he's crap!!)
I was once turned down for an audition in a club who's fronting House music.... the question they asked me...."you sure you can play house music, not RnB??... can you really play on turntables??...". In the end, i didn't get the chance to audition coz they say..... "I look like a hip hop DJ, it doesn't suit the club." .... what the .....!! I was wearing an Adidas track top and Levi's... what's so hip hop...??
Anyway... I got the drift.
Back to the topic....
I think we should give our own talents a chance first and groom them to be world class.... from then on, we can start appreciating our very own product and brag along with it...... and that is why, I want to invite all the local talents to get in touch with me if you have what it takes to be 'world-class'... my new outlet will be the venue for local talents to showcase, and show-off.
In fact, I'm inviting non-locals also to come forward and share my space..... if you're into music, art, visuals or even poetry.... hook up with me and lets talk crap!!
This is not a revolution, its just a movement.... to share all things local!!

Peace Out & Selamat Malam (Good Night!)
Last night I fell asleep whille pondering about the 'new' and up-coming clubs.... yes, I'm talking about LifeBrandz babies of KandiBar, FBar (FashionBar), BICE, The Clinic & Aurum and my favourite - BarFly.....
It all stated there as 'New concept', 'out-of-the-box', 'avant-garde', 'ground-breaking'........... hmmm..... I think it refers to all things happening in Singapore... Yes, I think its new to Singapore but not in other parts of the world. All these entertainment brands have been around for awhile and are well-known in the western countries. and now they have arrive on our shores, promoting new cultures and choices in entertainment... not forgetting on putting a hard-stamp on status levels and society standards. Interesting!!..... but, is it really new...?? I beg to differ.....
The rich, the beautiful, the creative, the Bengs & Mats, the Cool, the wannabe Cool, the wannabe Rich, the trying-to-look-Beautiful (at least they think they are...), the models, the 'models'-who-think-they-are-models, etc....... (if you notice, they are no 'the-poor-people' status.... it doesn't exist in Singapore) .... all these groups of people will be saturated.... and I think, Singaporeans like this alot..... so much for One People, One Nation, One .......? hah!
On another note..... some of the clubs market it's entertainment as 'live' DJ sets... I'm beginning to wonder what is a 'live' DJ set?.... a 'live' DJ? DJ playing on turntables and CD/MP3 players?, a DJ who actually play on these things....? a DJ who's playing on accesories, every night...? - just like DJ Shadow.... or is it just a DJ who's alive and capable. nevertheless, I'm sure its gonna be interesting.
I wonder if any of these outlets would offer me a slot someday.... don't worry whether I'm good or not, just worry that I'm a Malay dude playing Deep/NuHouse, BrokenBeats and Downtempo... - sorry I can't play Reggeaton.... ;)
One People, One Nation, .....err.... One for Money, Two for the show, Three get ready, and pay some more!!
damn!!... need my medication now.... need my Ben & Jerry's ice cream NOW!!!!

we're just a block away from the new year.... how time flies....
looking at all the happenings in the nightlife, clubbing culture, I think we gonna have an interesting december. wonder how the 'playas' deal with sharing the 'piece of pie' during the party period. not forgetting the new clubs opening their doors in dec..... Kandi Bar, Cafe Del Mar, Power House, Fashion Bar, EM by the River and @Em (or whatever its gonna be called). In fact, all those who will be opening the outlets are major players of the scene. party-goers would benefit from all these as the players will try and out-do each other with promos, cheap offers and alternative entertainment.
Recently, Singapore was voted as having one of the best nightlife... not in Asia, but in the world. hmmmm...... I'm still pondering as to how in the hell did we got that....?!
Accolades aside, I'm actually excited about our new outlet, EM. don't know why, but I have a good feeling about this. while everyone are jumping the bandwagon into the hip hop/RnB scene..... I think we could be one of the few who has the ability to be world standards in terms of clubbing culture. I'm not dishing out details yet but... I'm looking at the best of our local jocks sharing the decks with me....
in fact, not only DJs but musicians and producers as well.
I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for the best......
Anyway, if things don't look good after a year, the consultants can always change it to another dbl 0.... 'affordable' drinks, RnB/Retro music, aliens selling/drinking shooters and endless queue a the door. FUN!
Christmas coming, birthday coming, bonus coming, and more work. its just another day at the office..... its gonna be hell.... Bring It on!! I'm ready....
Btw, I want Serato Scratch Live for birthday......!

Report taken from Yahoo News......
Thursday November 9, 11:34 AM Reuters
Singapore may legalise anal, oral sex for heterosexuals
SINGAPORE, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Singapore is considering decriminalising oral and anal sex between consenting heterosexual adults, but not between homosexuals, official documents show.
The Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday posted a public consultation paper about proposed amendments to the city-state's penal code, Singapore's primary criminal legislation.
"We intend to repeal s.377, rescoping it such that anal and oral sex, if done in private between a consenting adult heterosexual couple aged 16 years old and above, would no longer be criminalised," the paper said
Currently, section 377 of the Penal Code "criminalises all forms of carnal intercourse against the order of nature, other than vaginal intercourse".
The paper makes no mention of the decriminalisation of oral and anal sex between men.
"Homosexuality is not widely accepted or tolerated in Singapore," the pro-government Straits Times quoted a home affairs official as saying on Thursday.
Under Singapore law, a man who is found to have committed an act of "gross indecency" with another man could be jailed for up to two years. Despite the official ban on gay sex, Singapore has a thriving gay scene.
wat the hell is going on here......?? the government are concerned about people having oral/anal sex....????!!!!!
dude!!..... we got bigger problems!!!!!! wat the fark!!!! let me list some of the problems which I think the governing body should look into....
1. city infested with hip-hop wannabes.....
2. MPs trying to get into hip-hop to get close to youth.....(try nominate Sheikh Heikel as NMP)
3. Mat Rock.... extinct. (all the mat rock listening to RnB now...) wat happen to Helloween, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath....?
4. People go to clubs wanting to listen to radio music.... (they should just sit in the car or stayed at home.....)
5. clubs getting shut down, b'coz promoter girls wearing bikini top and micro skirts.... (its ok with the pubs at Tanjong Pagar... the girls don't have to wear anything.... the police are there to keep an EYE on them)
6. phone lines being cut-off coz of overdue bills of $6.50....(damn StarHub...!)
7. dammit...!! I got many more but I don't think you wanna read anymore of these shit!!
c'mon dude...!! we got bigger problems.....!! let them screw themselves happy..... we've got old people stranded in the old folks home, the streets, under the bridges.... dammit!!

Pink Martini - una notte a Napoli
this is one of the best singers I've known.... not because she can sing, but her versatility in her music. her song SYMPATIQUE is very well known, but nothing beat all the tracks in the "TOMATO" album....
children.... this is wat I mean by "good music".... some may beg to difer...
have some martini.... in Pink!!

I was at Great World City last sunday, doing groceries, on my own..... (I like it there coz its more civilized than Causeway Point, NorthPoint and Orchard Road). I know its crazy for me to live in Woodlands and shop in GWC.... however, something else happen.
I was in Cold Storage doing my thing, through the aisle, when I realised that I had the same guy following me from the vegetables side to the frozen meat area...(if u've been to GWC cold storage, u'd know wat I'm talking about). some how, I turned and looked at him.... he smiled and start talking.... normal friendly conversation. It went on for the next 20 mins, when I realised he was actually trying to pick me up.... how you asked..?? I'll let you guys interpret the conversation.....
man: hey, I like your sling bag....
(I was carrying my LV slings)
me: thanks, urs are nice too.....
( he carrys a Bally sling)
man: u always shop here? alone?
me: nope....
man: I live around this area, alone. where do u live....?
me: somewhere far from here.....(sarcastic)
man: if you like it here, u're always welcome to hangout with me at my place....
me: hahahah..... sure!(very sarcastic)
man: lets come back to my place for a drink..??!!!
me:....???!!!!!??? (what de f*ck??!!)
I thought that pick-up line is use to pick women.....only.
at first I felt sick knowing a man wants to pick me up.....(i remembered the scenes from BrokeBack Mountain)....but some how, it struck me that I'm better off than most guys, coz I can attract men, women, transvestite, aliens and other forms of living things...... it may not be Fatal Attraction but it does compliment me as a likable person.....!!
I was told that in every male, we have this thing called "gay tendency".... without knowing it, every straight guy has a lil' bit of 'gayness' in them. I sort of believe that long time ago. I have been dubbed gay, called gay or thought I was gay long time ago....
I was thought to be gay because of the way I use to dress up 3 years ago....
I was called gay because I hangout with a prominent gay celebrity from the Suria channel.
I was thought to be gay because I never talk to women when I was a DJ at Buzz. Now when I talk to women, people thinks I'm flirting and cheating behind they're back.......
Few years ago, I like going to Centro on sunday nights.... people who saw me confirmed that I was gay..... wat if I was there coz I know the DJs, love the music, and it was my only night out....?
Anyway, the guy didn't manage to get my number or anything.... and I was polite enough to disappoint him.... so, I went home, had coffee and Cornetto.... and watch THE GODFATHER 3.
After all these accusations of being gay, I'm not the least bothered or angry..... in fact, a lot times i feel proud and flattered! Why??..... Because gay people are always talented, dress nicely, have a flair for finer things in life, trendy, and always do well in society...... If you people thinks I'm gay..... thank you.... I'm so farking flattered....
Kristin wouldn't mind if I'm guy..... it keeps the girls away..... ;)

I'm in the midst of coordinating an event for Carlsberg called "World of Friends".... somehow i remembered about some things happen recently....
I don't have many friends whom I can call 'friends'..... My friends are those in Tektile, my DJs, my office colleagues and the rest are all in the other planets. Recently, i was told that my friends gave me up saying I have been cheating on my girlfriend.... was accused of bringing different girls to all the time to Tektile's gig or club's event..... spent money on women..... and best of all.....been sleeping around!
WOW!!!.... i wish I have been doing all those things..
sometimes we shouldn't be so judgemental. Just because I work in a club, dress like a 16-year old and deejay for food, doesn't mean I'm just like any muthfckr u see at Orchard Towers. Maybe I spent my money on my family and house, (since I'm the only one working in the family).. maybe I speak to other women because, I'm blessed with a mouth and voice, and a brain to communicate.... maybe other people come to Tektile gig coz they like watching us perform or, they 'happen' to be at the club....??!.... wat I'm really sure of is... I spent too much time at work... whether at the club or in the office. I love wat I do.... is dat wrong...??!!
nevertheless, I know all this accusations are wrong coz my friends didn't say all this, b'coz, it didn't happen. It's just another way of communicating to me.... I know I will have my friends around me this Friday for the CD launch, but I'm gonna "cross my leg, and shut my mouth..." - so dat there won't be any more accusations for the next 2 weeks, at least.
I just found out who told on me...... those guys in the picture above!!!
- back to work..... "World of Friends" - Carlsberg, probably the best beer in the world..... damn I need my beer now.....
Kristin's away in India...... miss her already.

There was an article in New Paper last week about a DJ telling a patron to FUCK OFF IF THEY DIDN'T LIKE THE MUSIC..... in fact it was 2 pages full of it....
here's my opinion.....
you know what......??!! that guy deserve the centre finger with all the might!! apparently, he was asking for some RnB shit when the DJ was playing House, in a club where its policy is House!! haiyah!!! Singaporean will be Singaporean.... I feel so bloody sorry for my countrymen. why?? coz you're damn farking ignorant and stoopid!!
first of all, why didn' this guy look around him or even find out whats going on. if u come to a club and you don't like the music, just leave. simple. why go all the trouble and approach the DJ to change the music. there are others who go to DJs and request songs like they know their music.... c'mon man. don't start this shit with me coz it'll never end. Not that I know my stuff, but, i know that you don't know, that I know more than you know, and you bloody well know that i know what u don't know...... know what I mean.......
there was once while I was in the console watching my guys work the decks....., a guy came to the console (he was deck in all the hip hop costume shit.. know wat I mean..?) here's how it goes...
Hip Hop guy: Yo, drop some dope shit, man. sumthing fresh and cool....
DJ: what do u want dickhead?
Hip Hop guy: can u play some Oriental RnB...?
DJ: what the ..????????????
We were flabbergastered, dumbfounded and twisted!! what the hell was that.....?? apparently, he gave example.....Daddy Yankee..... fucking reggeaton!
Fellow Singaporeans...... I rest my case!!
- here's a message to all the DJs wannabe, superstar DJs(they think the are), purist DJs and not forgetting the real DJs who are out there earning a living..... be it in Orchard Towers, Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, Mohd Sultan, Joo Chiat, Tanjong Pagar and everywhere else. Please don't take this too hard, its just a personal feeling.
By looking at the picture, not many may realised that the 3 guys with me are actually well known DJs who have had their glory days and still doing it to this present day. We've got Herrmen - former Entertainment Manager for Fire Disco outlets in Malaysia, Greg 6Fingers - former GodFather of Culture Club in glory-Boat Quay, and lastly Joewali - the legend. Yeah, he is a legend. Not many know that this guy actually changed the look and standard of the local DJs and also how people party in the 80s, in Singapore.
Here's a little history to all the children....
Back in the 80s, Joe started as a dancer in clubs. The dancers back then are not like what u see today.... they were real dancers. (Nowadays, anybody's a dancer, provided you can sell shooters, alcohol and look good in micro skirts.) Joe went on to represent Singapore in the World Dance Champioships, in London. When he came back, he joined TMF (The Music Force). His partner was Moe Alkaff. (ok.... if you're reading this and don't know who Moe Alkaff and The Music Force, please go and try suck your own dick... go.)
Both of them were residencing at Top 10, creating madness in the nightclub industry with their antics and stuffs. Sometime, in mid-80s, the Straits Times ran a poll to select the best local DJ in Singapore. Joe pipped Moe to the title and sales at Top 10 went sky-rock!! At that time, no DJ party like they did, dancing, spinning, rapping, and lots of gimmick which actually, made them stars.
Months later, the console became too small for them and Moe moved on to Vegas and became gay.......(I WAS KIDDING, muthafucker!!... it was a joke. relax!!)
Joe moved on and took charge of the Fire Disco team of entertainers around the region.
15 years later, he came back to join me and made dbl 0 the No.1 party club in town... yeah, we're a party club..... call us cheesy or candy.. but we rock big time.....
Its dis-heartening for all my DJs who have to play cheesy tunes every night, when the fact is they are really into quality stuff.... Joe was into progressive stuff, but now I've influenced him to the world of 'love music' - HOUSE! ..... He's really into those funky house stuff but things are not always what u want....
I'm a lil' bit fortunate..... I've got Tektile gigs to feed my hunger... playing deep house with all the talented musicians.... plus we've got our CD out. (eat my shorts, biatch!!!)
the motive of the story is ......
1. DJs are entertainers..... u have to entertain. don't just stand behind the console and hope for someone to come and suck your dick!
2. You became DJs because of music, love for the music. So, stop talking shit about other DJs or other people, just spin that wheel. Its all about the music.
3. Good tunes are good tunes, the genre doesn't matter. If you got a job as a DJ playing scouse mickey-mouse music..... and you enjoyed it....good for you. don't give a flying fark about anybody who hates it.
4. When you look good, you feel good. when u feel good, you'll play good, when u play good.... the cock-suckers will come.....duh!!
Peace Out y'all.... catch you in the next class.....WHORE SHOOK MY F*CKING WHORE!!

Last night I got an e-mail from a friend about my blog. He said that he was disappointed that there wasn't any posting about music, DJ-ing and such in the blog. He thinks that because I'm living music 24-7, i'm suppose to have such postings in the blog...... Well, I don't have to..... but I can try...
Here goes.....(something about music)
Did u know that some of the best music are made by women......? I'm not talking about 'Booty'Beyonce, Mariah 'Scarey-Mary' Carey, Norah 'nonsense' Jones or even 'MILF' Madonna..... I'm refering the normal WOMAN....... Yeah, the one whom you see in the bus, supermarkets, at the traffic lights,..... the one who nags, cooks and wash for you...
It doesn't matter if you know them or not, whether you heard them or not,..... you know they have the abilities to make freaking good music....
Of course it does helps with a lil' bit of imagination, and a certain level of pleasantness from the woman. Don't believe me.....??? C'mon man!! any straight guys would agree with me that women makes good music sometimes..... unless, there are guys who prefer another guy moaning and talk shit and start nibbling ur 'farking'-guys ears....!!
..... and I know, there lots of women out there believes that they make 'freeking' good music.....................
....... next time you make-out,...... have a lsiten..... ; )
there u go.... something about music!!

Just finish reading Mel's post from TheTektilemovement.blogspot.com.......
I just realised how cool it is to see ur name in the music charts, especially when its a global chart. Even though its not totally my track (MEL did most of the work), it does give u some motivation to do more.
Many months back, the same track was in the Top 10 of global dance chart in mp3.com.au, now its in the breakbeat charts...... cool. For those who have not listen to the track, just go to Tektile's website or checkout the breakbeat chart at mp3.com.au. Last 2 weeks it was at no.73, last week no.44, this week 14...? hmmm....
Tektile's anniversary is on the 28th of this month, Ben's wedding this sunday, 27th Oct we'll launch the album, and the week after I will travel with Ahli Fiqir for a concert in Penang (CZA can't make it coz of exams).... oh ya... forgot! Hari Raya on 24th Oct.....!!
Not bad for a kampung boy.......
Oh! Another thing.......
I just got my first hate mail for the posting about being 'nice'..... it wasn't for anybody in particular, and the 'friend' may not even exist. damn!! I got dissed BIG TIME!! at least the objective of having this blog did go thru......
MORE TO COME...... ; )

Is it hard to be nice....?
I know that we live in very stressful environment. Stressful for the brain, body and at times for the pockets. Being stressful also means that the mood is always in zone where there's full of minefields. The wrong step would not only kill u, but put u in stressful death. However, does it make us more stressful to be nice to other people...? regardless of race, language and religion....?(yeah.... just like in primary school.) I know I sound like a preacher, but, ...... IS IT REALLY HARD TO BE NICE TO OTHER HUMAN BEING...??
here are some of my recent encounters.....
waiter : can i clear your plate?
my friend: of coz... you waiting for me to eat the empty plate also....?
(why can't he/she just say thank you....?)
cabbie : which way would u like to go? (asking for choice of directions)
my friend: anyway as long I get there safe.
(5 mins later)
my friend: which way are you going? why you go by a further distance?
cabbie :this is a faster way. the other way got traffic jam.
my friend: No!! go the other way!! I pay you to drive!!
(in a boutique, we were browsing)
salesgirl : hi, can I help?
my friend : yeah sure. you can help by not coming near me again. you'll know when I need help!
(in another restaurant)
waiter : how would u like your meat to be?
my friend: cooked and edible....??
Sometimes, I think we should stop being a smart-ass. Its not smart at all. maybe we think that because we're paying for something, it gives us the right to give others a hard time. Does wealth and status give us the right to be an ass-hole? YES!! (that's what my friend says)
Well, whatever it is, I hope someday my friend will never lose the status and wealth, and not feel what 'not-nice' is all about. why? coz its not gonna be pleasant...?
I don't think that I'm a nice person.... but at least I'm thoughtful of others around me.... thats why I'm quiet most of the time.(u guys know, right)
Ya, I know my post is not funny anymore...... i'm in the mid-life crisis mode......

This past week has been disastrous for me.... well, actually nothing really bad, except that I have been suffering from a chronic backache. It hurts big time!! can't lie down, sit, sleep or even walk properly.... doctors can't do much except telling me to rest.... damn!! how can I rest when I'm needed at work 16 hrs a day..!! biatch!!
ya, I know.... I need to rest.
can't believe that only 10 years ago I was as fit as a stallion, playing sports, representing the country in Sepaktakraw (Acrovolley) and heavy on motorcross races....
is it true that age is catching up on me..... I DON'T THINK SO!!! look man, Life starts at 40 for us guys.....!!! and I didn't say that... Sir Elton John said that to me long ago.... yea... I believe him!! so does George Micheal!!
back to my backache......
the worst thing about having this backache is that.... my colleague, Fran the Nanny, thinks that I'm getting too much sex!!!! WHAT!!!?????!!!
I WISH!!!!!
having said all that, I hope it gets better after my next session with the Indonesian chiropractor... he's got 'magic' hands....!!
or maybe, I should get back into the DJ console more often.... it usually helps!! btw.... not the console in dbl 0......
boys, get my record bags ready.....!! lets see who's still the tightest....

after so many years, I still haven't got my question answered!! or maybe, I didn't wish to hear the answers.... it's all crap! what was it you asked....?? ..... well, it's like this....
Have you ever wondered why only people in America get to see the aliens...? UFO sightings, Area 51 and all that shit!! I mean, have u ever wondered why we only hear stories about UFOs and aliens from the US..... have you ever wondered why the aliens or the extra terrestrials never come to our country....?
what the f*ck! we've got tourist spots also, man! our shopping is good, varieties of food, clean toilets, bitchy women and politically correct cabbies. with all these, yet we couldn't get the real aliens here... (i'm not refering to the contra-band peddling aliens that u see at Kranji Road.) are the aliens afraid of our strict laws? are they afraid of the humidity or are they turned off by our local women who thinks they know everything coz they've been to Spain, and thinks that whiskey green tea is the coolest drink, ever!!!
Well, whatever it is.... the STPB needs to do something to lure the real aliens down to Singapore.... who knows, maybe they would teach the local mainstream a thing or two about listening to good quality music.....
Bring on E.T.!!!!.... stop calling home, dickhead!!

yea.... so what if I'm a DJ.... so what if I'm Denon DJ of Singapore..??!! so what if I produce, play and live music...? does it make me cool?
back then, I was the nerd who listens to 'weird' music. yeah, they call me weird. now they all wanna be DJ. why?? coz u wanna get laid??!! coz u wanna look cool?? fark off!! get a life!! its all about the music and it's still is.....
sometimes I think that I was born in the wrong country...... or.... right country with the wrong talent. if I have 'skillz in hypocricy'... i would be a successful person in this country. but its cool!.... i've got my music with me.... i've got my Celia Cruz, Astrud & Bebel Gilberto with me. money earned and spent, friends come and go, .... but the music stays in me.....
somebody play the 'chicken little' song again please.....
Heya!!!! biatches & buatches......
